Meridian Quality Tree Service is a tree contractor serving Meridian, Idaho and the surrounding Ada County area. We handle tree removal, trimming and pruning, stump grinding, and storm-damaged trees. Treasure Valley lots still carry locust, maple, spruce, and leftover farm cottonwood. South Meridian plats put those trees next to vinyl fences and composition roofs.
Call (208) 274-7486 to describe the tree. Have the town, a photo with the house in the frame, and whether the stump should come out.
Residential tree work in Meridian
Tree removal
A take-down is a different job than a trim. Crane, climb, or drop depends on the house, the wires, and the species. See tree removal .
Tree trimming
Clearance off a roof, a sidewalk, or a service drop is a trim. Topping a maple because it got tall is not. See tree trimming .
Tree pruning
Cuts for structure and health. Not a hedge trimmer on a 40-foot maple. See tree pruning .
Stump grinding
The stump is a separate bid. Grinding it below grade is what lets you fence, sod, or pour later. See stump grinding .
Dead tree removal
A dead locust or spruce is brittle. It does not wait for a convenient Saturday. See dead tree removal .
Emergency tree removal
On a roof, on a car, or blocking the only driveway is emergency work. A leaning tree that is still standing is a same-week take-down unless it is already on the house. See emergency tree removal .
Storm damage trees
Treasure Valley wind and wet snow take limbs. The hangers still in the crown are the dangerous part. See storm damage trees .
Crane tree removal
A crane is for trees you cannot drop or piece out over a roof. Access from the street decides if it is possible. See crane tree removal .
Lot clearing
Taking trees off a build lot is not the same as one backyard removal. Brush and stumps are part of that bid. See lot clearing .
Trees near power lines
Idaho Power owns the lines. We do not cut primary. We quote what is on your side of the service drop, or we tell you to call the utility. See trees near power lines .

Common questions
How do we get a tree estimate?
Call or text the number on this page. Tell us the town, the height if you know it, and whether the tree is on a roof, a fence, or in the open. A photo with the house in the frame is enough to start. We quote on site before a saw starts.
Do I need a permit to remove a tree in Meridian?
Private trees on your lot usually do not need a city permit. Trees in the right-of-way, on an ACHD strip, or in an HOA with a tree-preservation rule are different. We tell you which one you have before we cut.
What trees do you take down in the Treasure Valley?
Locust, maple, aspen, spruce, Siberian elm, leftover farm cottonwood, and the ornamental pears and crabapples that HOAs planted in the 2000s. Species changes the drop, the weight, and whether a crane is worth it.
Is stump grinding included in removal?
No. The take-down is one bid. Grinding the stump below grade is a second bid. Say so up front if you want to fence, sod, or pour later.
Who does the work?
Calls and texts go to an independent local tree service that takes work from this site. That business sets prices, schedule, and how they climb or crane. That is also in the footer.
Which towns do you work in?
Meridian is the hub. We also work in Boise, Nampa, Eagle, Kuna, Star, Caldwell, Garden City, Middleton, Emmett, Hidden Springs, south Meridian, and Melba.
